After delayed release of Firefox 4.0, Mozilla improved their development cycle to deliver cutting edge Firefox features, performance enhancements, security updates and stability improvements. We can see the result of this in the form of release of Firefox 5.0 beta just after two months of Firefox 4.0 release.
Firefox 5.0 beta is now available for both desktop and Android users. Firefox for Android is the first mobile Web browser to offer the Do Not Track privacy feature.
Mozilla introduced Do Not Track to give users more control over the way their browsing behavior is tracked and used online. It enables users to tell websites if they prefer to opt-out of online behavioral tracking, as well as allows users to go through CSS3 development, where the well-versed developers might have opportunity to be a mobile website reseller or alike professionalist in near future.
What’s new in this version:
- Added Do Not Track option to Preferences, enabling you to tell sites if you prefer to opt-out of online behavioral tracking
- Smoother panning and CSS3 Animations
- Speed improvements, especially pertaining to page load and on 3G networks
- Important bug fixes including compatibility with SwiftKey
Extending with Addons:
Addons are the real power of Firefox. There are now over 150 add-ons for Firefox for mobile, and counting. Nearly 100 add-ons are already compatible with the latest browser version.
