Post Type

Samsung’s highly anticipated Galaxy Tab 10.1 is released in last month and successfully being sold in the tablet market. We earlier mentioned that Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 could be iPad2 killer as it is lighter, thinner and comes with equal processing capabilities. Today, Samsung started selling USB adapter specially made for tab 10.1 in Samsung marketplace for $19.99. Though its just an adapter, it takes your tablet experience to the whole new world. You can connect almost any USB supported device like mouse, camera, keyboard, thumb drives, gaming consoles, external memory storage and the list goes on and on.

This all is possible because of Android Honeycomb 3.1 system integrated in the Tab 10.1. Initially when Galaxy Tab 10.1 was announced it had Honeycomb 3.0 operating system but the decision was made in last few days to upgrade the system to Honeycomb 3.1 which added support to USB devices.

Insert a USB mouse or keyboard to improve enterprise efficiency at the office or at home. To make it work, simply connect a USB memory stick or USB cable from compatible devices to the USB port on the adapter and then insert the adapter into your Tab.

Samsung 30-Pin to USB Charging Data Cable is also available separately which can be used to connect your Tab device to your compatible host PC, allowing your Tab to become an external modem while also charging and syncing your data.

The adapter is developed to work with Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 (Verizon 4G LTE) 16GB and 32 GB versions.

This is a killer feature of Honeycomb 3.1 and not available in iPad2 or any other tablet operating systems.
