Google Plus is getting traction in social networking space after series of failed attempts from Google. Now it all started shaping up, Google don’t want to stop. Next to the Friend Annotations feature earlier this week, Google SVP of Social, Vic Gundotra announced another one in a blog post. He said, “Just +1 a page as usual and look for the new ‘Share on Google+’ option. From there you can comment, choose a circle and share.”
Until now, if you click plus one button on web page, it used to go under a tab in your Google plus profile. Now, if you chose to ‘share’ a web page, it will be posted on the profile like Facebook ‘Like’ button works. This feature gives you fine grained control over who you want to share the posts with.
Another enhancement comes in the form of +Snippets. When you share content from the +1 button, Google automatically include a link, an image and a description in the sharebox. These are called as “+snippets”. Publishers can edit their snippets before posting to profiles to include only important information.
Google said, the button is now embedded on more than 1 million websites, and records around 4 billion daily views. This is phenomenal growth of +1 button and certainly adds to the growth of Google+ network.
