Verizon’s been teasing a Nov. 11 launch for the Motorola Droid RAZR, and this morning it’s made it official. The device has already got an insane price cut by Amazon Wireless with a special price tag $111.11 to celebrate the fact that it’s the 11th day of the 11th month of the 11th year of the 21st century, a discount of more than $180.00 if you sign up for a new two-year agreement.

The Motorola Droid RAZR is currently the thinnest Android smartphone on the market at 7.1mm, but is also sturdy with a back made out of Kevlar. There’s also 4G support for Verizon’s LTE network, an 8-megapixel main camera with autofocus, an LED flash and 1080p Full HD video recording, a 1.3-megapixel front camera for up to 720p HD video calls and fronted by a 4.3-inch 960 x 540 qHD Super AMOLED Advanced touchscreen. Inside is TI’s OMAP4430 1.2GHz dual-core with 1GB of RAM and 16GB of storage; Motorola also preloads a 16GB microSD card, bringing the total to 32GB. The Motorola Droid RAZR will be sold running Android 2.3 but is scheduled to have an upgrade to 4.0, also known as Ice Cream Sandwich, in a few months.

If you’ve been waiting for the RAZR’s official release but like to shop around, Amazon Wireless’ offering is a perfect opportunity to get a deep discount on the latest member of the Droid family. Head over to AW’s sale page to take advantage of the deal.
