It’s official. UK O2 subscribers will be able to get their hands on the Galaxy Nexus this Thursday. The European carrier took to their Google+ page to spread the word and make more than a few of us envious.

“Yes we’ll be on sale on the 17th,” the wireless carrier notes on Google+, though the handset has only the coming soon tag on O2 UK’s official website. No word on availability in other areas in Europe yet but we guess it won’t be long after that. Meanwhile, availability in other regions such as the US remains a mystery.

This is going to be a pretty busy week for Google. They have the “These Go To Eleven” event on Wednesday, at which we expect them to unveil the new Google Music Store, and we just heard that the source code for Ice Cream Sandwich would be available on Thursday.
