In an update on the official Notion Ink blog, Notion Ink’s CEO, Rohan Shravan, shared his thoughts on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich source code release, saying it will be released on November 17.
Mr. Shravan has a track record that shows he’s usually right. Last year, he did the same thing with the Gingerbread release, accurately predicting more than could be a good guess. Source code is very important for manufacturers as well as developers working on Custom ROMs to start building firmwares based on the OS release.
This is exciting news, as several handset manufacturers already confirmed they will deliver the Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade in early 2012, as well as Sony and Motorola.
We just hope that Shravan is right and it would great to see Ice Cream Sandwich Source Code out on Thursday.
Stay tuned for more updates on the matter, as we receive more confirmations on the Android 4.0 source code upcoming release.
