Samsung UK has confirmed that the Samsung Galaxy S II will be getting latest version of Android – 4.0 or Ice Cream Sandwich update, via Twitter, though specific dates aren’t yet being provided. As of this moment, details are relatively scarce, and Sammy has yet to make similar declarations for markets outside of the UK, but we guess it should apply for all the countries the Galaxy S II is available in.

Samsung UK notes that it will update fans with more details on the official availability when it can. What’s your guess on the time frame for the update? I would think Q1 2012 along with the other popular Android devices, as soon as we get some more information we will let you guys know.
