Unveiled earlier this month, the Samsung Illusion may be on track for a November 23 release at Verizon Wireless.
Forget the Galaxy Nexus — Verizon is squarely targeting the midrange this Thanksgiving week with the announcement of the Samsung Illusion, an Android 2.3-powered slab with a 1GHz Hummingbird processor. It’s got a 3-megapixel camera and all the standard goods (like Bluetooth, 802.11a/b/g/n, etc.) inside. Other features include an integrated Swype and external storage expansion up to 32GB with 2GB pre-installed. And… well, that’s it, really. For the curious, there’s no support for Verizon’s 4G/LTE network.
It’ll be available online starting tomorrow for $79.99 on contract, but if you want to grab it from a brick-and-mortar store, you’re in for a wait — it won’t be launching there until January.
