Google has extended its free Gmail calling deal, which will allow desktop users to call any domestic number within the United States or Canada through the end of 2012. Those of you living elsewhere will see no such giving.
It’s Google’s gift for the Holidays and Google also reminds everyone that it also offers Gmail calls to the rest of the world at rates that it calls “insanely low”.
“This is our way of helping you connect with friends and family across the country,” Google announced. Google stated last year that Gmail calls made within the U.S. and Canada would be free through 2011, but the company is extending the promotion through 2012 for reasons unknown.
