Samsung Spain has confirmed the obvious – bada 2.0 update for existing Wave devices will be released next year and it’s bringing some serious improvements too. Users using carrier-locked Wave devices will have to wait a little longer, as the company Confirms bada 2.0 will be pushed to all supported Wave devices sometime in Q1 2012.

Unveiled earlier this year, Samsung’s bada 2.0 operating system was initially slated for a Q4 2011 release. However, Samsung has cut off Wave 525 and Wave 533 from the list.

Although Samsung has yet to issue any official statements regarding the release schedule for the bada 2.0 upgrade, it looks like Samsung Turkey and Spain came forward and announced on their official Facebook pages that bada 2.0 would be released in 2012.
