Although the year is coming to an end, speculations regarding upcoming devices for 2012 are still floating around and among the array is the Intel Medfield Android smartphone, in case you didn’t know, Intel will get into the Android Tablet and Smartphone game in 2012, courtesy of the Medfield mobile processor, but nothing was confirmed. This time, however, LG has confirmed the move.

The rumors comes from Korea Times, suggest that LG will produce Intel’s first Android smartphones that use Intel’s own mobile platform. The Android device will be shown at the CES 2012 at the Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC) next month, and will reach in stores by March 2012.

LG spokespeople, however, declined to officially confirm this.

“Intel’s chief executive Paul Otellini will release Intel’s first Android smartphone using our own platform at the CES,” Intel Korea chief Lee Hee-sung reportedly stated.

Other software and hardware details are not available on this LG Android phone at the moment. But the CES event gives a clue to intros this device. We’ll keep you guys update. Stay tuned.
