People often ignores simple home phones in current era of mobile smartphones. Ooma just unveiled HD2 home phone. HD2 seamlessly integrates with Ooma’s VOIP service and offers lot other features compared to other phones. For example, its 2 inch color LCD screen can display picture caller IDs by pulling pictures from your Facebook, Google and Yahoo contact books. This way you can easily manage your contacts from web portals as well as you can sync up your cellphone and home phone contacts automatically.

Dennis Peng, Vice President of Product Management said, “Because Ooma is an Internet-based platform, it allows us to add innovative and useful features more typically associated with a smartphone and blend the mobile and home phone experiences”. Ooma also pointed that HD2 has double the fidelity than any other phone in this category. For this they are using HD voice technology which yields better results.

According to release statement, the phone can be ordered in February from announced retailers or from Ooma.com for $60.
