
Samsung Electronics, a leading mobile handset provider, just announced that it has sold more than 5 million units of its popular Galaxy S II smartphone in its home country South Korea, reaching the milestone in around nine months after the phone was available on its home turf.
The device was expected to record so, as we reported regarding to Samsung Galaxy S II generated more than 10 million sales in mid October over the globe, made it the quickest selling device in the company’s history and became the highest-selling mobile handset in Samsung’s smartphone portfolio.
Hopefully, Samsung is expected to unveil the follow-up, the anticipated, the rumored Samsung Galaxy S III with same expectation.
