
Notion Ink has partnered with Texas Instruments (TI) Incorporated and announced the first details of its second-generation Adam II Android tablet, plans for using a customized version of Ice Cream Sandwich.
Powered by TI OMAP 4400 dual-core processor, the Adam II Tablet offers best power performance and multi-tasking experience. Along with the smart multi-core architecture CPU, the tablet is equipped with programmable accelerators, hardware composition engines and a dedicated ISP. It will also boast a PowerVR SGX500 GPU, to help with their new Modular Based Software Architecture.
In addition to the chip, TI provides components such as Wi-Link 7.0 and Phoenix Audio Power Amplifiers for the slate. The TI’s integrated power-management IC system has made the device more power optimized one.
Notion Ink doesn’t provide for more details on this and many other issues though the exact release date or price details of the device are still being kept under wraps. I’ll let you know when details about availability (other than “soon”) and pricing get to my ears.
