We already knew iPad 3 is coming, but didn’t have any specific details. Now there is talk, Apple may be building two versions of its third-generation iPad.
According to a new leak from a source, claiming to have access to the next-gen tablet itself. BGR published following images of an alleged iPad prototype.
In the images, two versions – “iPad 3,1” and “iPad 3,2” which are codenamed J1, J2 indicates — one for Wi-Fi and one perhaps with Wi-Fi and GSM/CDMA/LTE.
The information in the images was taken from iBoot, a development and debug tool. If the pictures are indeed of the next-gen iPad, they show the tablet will have an A6 processor with model number S5L8945X. BGR says as a point of reference, the Apple A4 model was S5L8930X and the A5 is S5L8940X.
Meanwhile, Amazon added two iPad 3 books to its European site — Ipad 3 pour les nuls, or iPad 3 for Dummies in French, and Auf die Schnelle iPad 3, which is German for iPad 3 on the Fly, according to a report from GameZone.com. iPad 3 for Dummies is scheduled to be published on March 29.
We’re still unknown when the next-generation iPad could be unveiled. Speculations about a February or March announcement date have been making the rounds throughout the web for some time now.
