Last month at the CES event Verizon Wireless introduced a bunch of new smartphones including the Motorola DROID 4, but didn’t provide any specific date though. We recently heard rumor for Droid 4 coming to Version Wireless, but if rumor comes straight from Droid-Life is to be believed, the smartphone now will be out on February 9 – next Thursday.
According to rumors, the Droid 4 will cost you $200 with new 24-months agreement, $100 less than the Motorola Droid Razr Maxx, which has been released on January 26.
Powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core CPU, 16GB pre-installed storage, 1GB of RAM, the Motorola Droid 4 has a 4-inch qHD screen. It also features an 8-MP backside shooter and Verizon’s fastest 4G LTE. The sliding QWERTY keyboard device will ship with Android Gingerbread (is upgradeable to Android Ice Cream Sandwich at some point later this year).
