Avid, long a leader in video editing software, has released a new video editing app for iPad, namely Avid Studio, that allows users to take raw audio and video from their local iPad library, or external camera connection, and engage in professional level video editing right there on the iPad. Along with video editing, the app includes 3D animation support along with several effects such as picture-in-picture, pan and zoom.

The app will let users enable to quickly arrange their clips in the Storyboard, make precision edits using the Timeline. The users also can add high-quality transitions, effects, and soundtracks to movie footage via Avid studio. Users will easily be able to share movie directly on YouTube, Facebook, and more. For those who are used to software such as iMovie or Final Cut Pro X will also be able to dive right in without feeling lost.

As the moment the app is tagged for $4.99, which will be raised the price to $7.99 after 30 days.
