The exact details about Samsung’s upcoming device, the Galaxy S III, have been sparse. In early February, however, we heard rumor regarding the device, it will make its debut in first half of the 2012, now a new report courtesy ETNews claims the Galaxy S3 will be one of the slimmest device at 7mm (or roughly 0.275 inches) and will be released in May.
Take rumors with a grain-of-salt what ETNews claims, as a new report comes from Frandroid website claiming, that the Samsung has booked an event for March 22nd in France (Image shown above). The site is also suggesting that whatever is to be unveiled will be in one way or another infused with Google’s mobile OS. Samsung, however, issued a note that it will hold a separate event regarding device launch, so this lines up fairly well.
It seems odd that if this is going to be the announcement that we have been waiting for those, only French media outlets have been invited and alerted to the date.
The other rumored specs include the handset to run on two Operating Systems, might be quite enough to impress all who you have been waiting for. The handset would likely be powered by a quad-core processor, a 720p Super AMOLED Plus display, either an 8-megapixel or a 12-megapixel rear-facing camera, Samsung’s TouchWiz interface on top and coupled with 2 GB of RAM.
