It was in late December, we reported, Google may prepare a tablet in next six months, where Eric Schmidt (CEO of Google) quoted telling an Italian publication. Now according to recent report comes straight from CNET, claims that Google is likely to enter in tablet market with 7 inch slate. According to report, Google has ordered around 1.5 million to 2 million units of this ICS-powered tablet.
The tablet, rumored to be dubbed as Google Nexus Tablet, is expected to come sporting a 7 inch 1280x800p resolution display. This size could mean that it is set to compete with the likes of the Amazon Kindle Fire.
The new tablet will be tagged for $199, according to rumors and being readied for a late Q2 release. We’ll bring you more, if Google 7 inch tablet is on its way to woo customers indeed, running Ice Cream Sandwich with production starting in April.
