Samsung has made official Rugby Smart for AT&T after a couple of leaks here and there, and it’s every bit as exciting for lovers of tough gadgets as they’ve hoped for. The handset is built up to mil-std 810f military spec standards. It is dust proof, shock resistant, and can be submerged in 1m of water for 30 minutes.
Featuring Android 2.3 Gingerbread, the Rugby Smart also sports a WVGA (480 x 800 pixels) Super AMOLED display and support for AT&T’s HSPA+ “4G” services. The smartphone also feature a 3.7″ WVGA Super AMOLED display, 4GB of built-in memory, and 5MP snapper, capable of shooting 720p videos. Full connectivity suite is present sans LTE. Measuring at 122.4 x 65.9 x 12.19mm, and weighing 119 grams, it has a 1650mAh battery.
