Nokia was reportedly preparing a new smartphone, dubbed as Nokia 801, and was rumored to come equipped with Belle OS. Now according to a recent report, the phone will be powered by Carla OS, the successor of Nokia Belle OS.
New Carla operating System is still under construction, and that’s why we haven’t heard more about the Nokia 801 just yet, and why it’s not expected for the MWC launch. The rumored specs for the Nokia 801 include 4 inch AMOLED ClearBlack Display, 1.4 GHz Processor, 12MP Camera with Autofocus and Dual-LED Flash with 1080p Full-HD recording. The smartphone will be coupled by 512MB of RAM.
However, rumor has it that Nokia will bring new Carla to all Symbian powered devices in Q4 2012, while Nokia’s 603,700,701 are expected to ship with Carla in Q3 2012. Though, Nokia rolled out Belle update for its smartphone recently, I suggest to take this rumor with a grain-of-salt. As we hear more regarding any information of above mentioned, we’ll be sure to keep you posted.
