Despite having the tech world rubbing its hands together in anticipation of the Galaxy S III, it seems like that big monster is on the way. Reportedly, Samsung Electronics is working on a new smartphone without a bezel. Called Samsung Galaxy B, the smartphone is rumored to come equipped with an edge-to-edge display.
The report revealed that the smartphone has a large AMOLED panel with no bezel on the sides of bottom and has only the tiniest amount of bodywork visible around the display, which means only a small section of the bezel will be visible atop the handset that would house a front-facing camera and earphone. That also means a Galaxy Note-size display on a Galaxy S2-sized device.
Samsung Galaxy B could be aiming for a Q2 or Q3 launch in 2012. Other specifications are similarly mysterious, beyond the promise of a large display. Whether Samsung will bring the phone to MWC next week remains to be seen, we’ll be sure to keep you posted.
