A beautiful render of Sony Xperia Play smartphone, which was one of last year’s well-publicized flops, has been leaked. The new phone is being called the Sony Xperia Play 2; the device has the same slide-out design as last year’s model with the gaming controls featured though. The folks over at Concept-Phones, however, have been told is indeed real.
The new phone is rumored to tout a 4.3-inch (720 x 1280) HD Reality Display skinned in Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, which is odd, considering the four capacitive keys below the display. The leaked image shows off that it’ll also feature a slide-out set of PlayStation keys, which features an Xperia S-style light-up strip. Other rumored specs include a 1.5GHz dual-core S4 Snapdragon processor and an 8.1MP camera with HD Video and LED flash.
Aside of these information, the rest of the specs are elusive, though we’ll be sure to keep you posted, as soon as the Xperia Play 2 PSP Phone gets official.
