Lumigon, a Danish mobile phone company, just has announced its new T2 Android smartphone. The handset is the sequel to T1 smartphone, which was showcased in 2010.
Humming away beneath its machined body, with classy material choices like Gorilla Glass and stainless steel, the Lumigon T2 phone is powered by a Snapdragon processor, clocked at 1.4GHz, and Android 4.0/Ice Cream Sandwich OS.
Featuring a 3.8-inch high-res display, the smartphone also comes equipped with an 8MP rear snapper, and featuring the same universal infrared remote functionality feature as its predecessor — which point your remotes at the phone and tell it what commands you’re entering and the T2 will let you control your other electronics.
There is also a dedicated camera button and a programmable “activity button” that can be used to launch a desired function such as flashlight, even when the phone is locked.
No words on pricing yet, though the Lumigon T2 handset is expected to launch in selected markets in Europe and Asia by the first half of this year. We’ll be tapping it up soon to keep you guys updated.
