Unveiled at CES event in January, and known as Toshiba Excite 10, world’s thinnest tablet now will go on sale in the US on March 6th with a new name, one day before Apple is expected to introduce its latest iPad tablet. The tablet will debut with new name as Toshiba Excite 10 LE. However, the tablet is available in the US for $599 already, and for £399 in the UK as well.

Aside of the new name everything for this tablet remains the same, to feature a 10.1-inch (1280 × 800) LED display, 1 GB of RAM, 5 MP rear-facing camera and 2MP front-facing camera, a dual-core OMAP 4430 processor clocked at 1.2GHz, Micro USB, Micro HDMI ports, and WiFi (802.11b/g/n) and Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR. It also has a battery that delivers up to 8 hours of life. However, the tablet will ship with Android 3.2 Honeycomb, with Toshiba promises an update to Ice Cream Sandwich soon after awhile.

When it goes on sale, you’ll be able to pick up a model with 16GB of storage for $530, while a 32GB model will cost you $600.  Has anyone been waiting for this tablet out there?
