AT&T Wireless just has released a combo pack of a smartphone and a tablet. This latest package deal brings two unique devices, and both offer form factors and potential use cases that just aren’t possible with any device in their class.
Well, the tablet is Sony Tablet P and the smartphone is the Xperia Play. Come preloaded with Android the both of them have access to AT&T’s 4G HSPA+ network, but not LTE. And of course as anyone of you out there would hope, there is a discount available for buying both devices together. You can pick up both on a pair of new contracts for just $299.99 with a two-year agreement for each device. That’s a savings of about $100 dollars, as the Tablet P is currently selling for $399.99 and Xperia Play 4G is currently selling for $0.99.
In terms of the tablet, the Sony Tablet P is a dual-displayed tablet. Each displays measure at 5.5 inches with a resolution of 1024 x 480. Powered by a dual-core NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor clocked at 1GHz, the Tablet P also features 4GB of internal storage, 1GB of RAM, 5MP back snapper, 0.3 front shooter, and microSD card slot, a 3080 mAh battery, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR.
As of the Xperia Play 4G, this handset has a 4 inch (480 x 854) display with slide-out hardware game control pad. It also features 1GB of internal storage, a 1500 mAh battery, and a microSD card slot with an included 8GB memory card.
The both devices are flavored by Android Honeycomb and Android Gingerbread respectively. We can expect an Ice Cream Sandwich update in near future.
