Readability app for Android is now available for download. This Android app, lets you strip articles of your web formatting for easy reading, and turns web pages into a clean, elegant, single-column reading. It also allows users to view and save articles from the web in a reformatted view.
Once an article is added to the reading list, most images, embedded videos, and advertisements are taken out so someone on a phone or tablet can read the text in a simpler format. Users can archive or delete items once they’ve been read. The app also lets you login to your Readability account to archive articles for later reading on that device or any other device that supports the service.
The app was launched recently for Apple iPhone and iPad last week, and the Android version of the app can be downloaded exclusively from Amazon Appstore. The app is free and said to work better with the Amazon’s Kindle Fire and it has also been made available on Google Play, allowing the people outside the US to enjoy the capabilities of this app.
