After the huge success of the S2, Samsung is almost ready for the Samsung Galaxy S3 release as the Smartphone’s rumor mill is gathering plenty of momentum these days.
Today a thread just popped on Reddit, with what seems to be a press photo of the Samsung Galaxy S III, and it looks like we might be seeing the new device at an unveiling on May 22nd at a Samsung Unpacked event in London.
As far as concepts and mock designs go, this is probably the most believable rendition of the Samsung Galaxy S III we have ever seen, even if it could be a fake. I don’t really know what to say about the image above. Though it looks pretty genuine to me, and the PR firm Weber Shandwick has earlier done work for Samsung, so it could be real, suggests a recent report.
Judging by the image, there is a dedicated camera button, as well as a dedicated single home button, a front speaker grill (I pumped up the brightness to make it clear), and an edge-to-edge screen.
Supposedly called Galaxy S III, the new device will be released as the successor of last year’s Galaxy S II smartphone, and should pack top-of-the-line technology inside. However, the rumored specs include quad core processor, an 8MP rear snapper, a 2MP front shooter, LTE, and Ice Cream Sandwich in tow.
Although, Samsung previously stated that the Galaxy S 3 would be unveiled at “separate Samsung-hosted event in the first half of the year, so we suspect that it will be launched in May with going in production in early April.
Nothing has been made official on the new device as of yet, but Samsung is expected to make it official in the very near future, maybe before the end of this month. The Galaxy S3 is also rumored to be unveiled at CTIA Wireless show in early May and Google IO in late June. Stay tuned, as we bring you more.
