Remember that Android 2.3 smartphone with a built-in projector feature? Well, the smartphone was recently priced at £385 SIM Free in the UK, where the UK’s online retailer Unlocked Mobiles listed the phone on its page.
While the Sammy hopes to ship the Galaxy Beam to British shores by this July, the projector smartphone has been confirmed for an April release in Asian markets. The Galaxy Beam will be launched in India by April (and possibly a few other Asian locales) at an unspecified price yet.
As we know it’s a built-in projector featured device which is not so common in present day devices. Besides the projector, that can project images and video up to 50 inches, the Galaxy Beam features a projector-dedicated application which makes it easy to select content and activate projection in a few simple steps.
Featuring a 4.0 (480 × 800) WVGA TFT display, the phone is powered by a dual core 1GHz processor. Head over to here for more specs. This Gingerbread powered device is also expected to get an ICS update soon after the release. We’ll keep you guys updated.
