Acer has announced a new tablet, the Iconia Tab A510, tablet featuring quad-core processor and Android 4.0 OS, is also available now available for pre-order.
The 10.1-inch A510 is now up for pre-order in the U.S. and Canada for around $450 for a model with 32GB of storage, and this is actually the Olympic Edition for Canada and US, though Acer hasn’t said yet when units will actually begin shipping.
Running Ice Cream Sandwich on a 10.1-inch (1280 x 800) display, an 85-degree viewing angle, Iconia Tab A510 is very similar to the Iconia Tab A700, but there’s one major difference: the screen resolutions. Also comes featuring a giant quad core Tegra 3 processor, the slate promises up to 13 hours of video playback thanks to a giant 9800mAh battery. It has Dolby audio, and support for 1080p HD video playback and of course NVIDIA’s quad core Tegra 3 processor and Android 4.0/Ice Cream Sandwich preinstalled.
Coupled by 1GB of RAM, the Tab A510 also has 32GB of storage and a MicroSDHC card slot for up to 32GB of additional storage. Other specs include 802.11a/b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1, a 5MP back snapper and 1MP front-facing shooter, plus preloaded apps including Kindle, Netflix, and the TegraZone Android app, Polaris Office 3.5 for streaming media between Acer devices including phones, tablets, computers, and storage devices.
