Now it’s official that the Galaxy Note users will have to wait a little longer for the Android 4.0/Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade. According to Samsung, the update is set to be released at some point in Q2 of this year, but they are working on something special. Alongside all the Galaxy Note Ice Cream Sandwich goodness, it will bring more intuitive UI with a redesigned App menu for easier multi-tasking and most important a “Premium Suite” containing a bunch of extra apps that take advantage of the device’s S-Pen accessory.
Additionally, other ICS features will also be available, including Face Unlock, intuitive user interface, and faster performance, Snapshot, Photo Editor, Android Beam and more.
Samsung also shared a video that detailed all the new things coming to the Galaxy Note. The Premium Suite upgrade offers exclusive S Pen applications, enhanced multimedia features, and of course an Ice Cream Sandwich update as expected. With a unique S Note tool users will be able to combine their notes and sketches with other digital content, offering them a new way to create their own stories.
On a side note, international Galaxy Note owners will get Angry Birds Space (available from Amazon) pre-loaded, along with 30 special Galaxy Note themed levels.
