Sony’s been uncharacteristically forthcoming when it comes to their plans on updating phones to Ice Cream Sandwich, what a recent report treated such.
But Sony now sure seems to be constantly churning out updates for its Xperia handsets, as the company has officially confirmed that it will start the delivery of Android 4.0/Ice Cream Sandwich for its Xperia line-up only in mid-April, so we’ll have to wait just a tad longer.
Ice Cream Sandwich update is said to affect the performance of the devices (especially if they are the lower end models) so Sony will be giving you the choice to update your devices instead of forcing it on you – a good idea that should be followed by manufacturers everywhere.
The Xperia arc S, Xperia neo V and Xperia ray are the first in the line to be upgraded in mid-April and continue for four to six weeks. Be sure to read more about the update at the source link below.
