Sprint and HTC both have revealed new HTC EVO 4G LTE smartphone. Of course this is the LTE version of popular EVO handset. Priced at $199.99, the device will be available for pre order on May 7th and will en-route to the shelves at some point during Q2 of this year.
Running on the Android 4.0/Ice Cream Sandwich OS, the EVO 4G LTE smartphone is skinned with HTC Sense 4.0. Other features include Snapdragon S4 chipset with two CPU cores, clocked at 1.5GHz, on board and 16GB of built-in memory (expandable via a MicroSD card slot). The HTC EVO 4G LTE phone is coupled by 1GB of RAM. Beats Audio and NFC capabilities are on board with Google Wallet as well. A 2000mAh battery powers the handset.
The screen is the already familiar, gorgeous 4.7″ (720 x 1280) super LCD2 unit with HD resolution. An 8MP camera is located on the back, while a 1.3MP sits at the front of the device. Both can record HD videos in 1080p and 720p respectively. Although Sprint says HD Voice doesn’t depend on 4G (or even 3G) connectivity, it’s limited only to Sprint-to-Sprint calls.
How do you like the all-new LTE Evo? Sound off in the comments.
