While we’ve been keeping up with a whole bunch of rumors surrounding the coming launch of the LG Viper 4G on Sprint, as one of the carrier’s first LTE smartphones, an exact release date was not provided. But now, the good news is that Sprint has started taking pre order of LG Viper 4G smartphone. The Viper is listed at $400, less $250 instant savings and a $50 mail-in rebate, bringing the total price to just $100 if you pick it up on a two-year contract.
Powered by a dual-core 1.2GHz processor, the Viper has a gigabyte of RAM, and features a 4-inch (480 x 800) WVGA display, 5MP rear shooter, VGA front-facing camera, 4GB built-in storage, MicroSD card slot, NFC capabilities with Google Wallet and of course 4G LTE.
The smartphone, however, is shipping with Android 2.3; an Ice Cream Sandwich update should arrive in near future.
Recently, rumors pointed to the 22nd as the launch date, which should mark the general in-store availability of the Viper, but it sounds like Sprint will ship pre-orders as soon as they have stock available.
