Acer is reportedly working on a QWERTY Slider smartphone to run with Windows 8 Operating System. This time report comes straight via Acer Club, claiming that Microsoft is likely to announce Windows Phone 8 Apollo in October, though the information has yet to be confirmed.
The said Acer smartphone based on Apollo platform would be release by the end of the year with the same time-frame.
To be featured by a full slide-out QWERTY keyboard, the new device is expected to be equipped with a dual core processor.
Despite a dearth of evidence or details, the phone will reportedly be called the W11 and will be a lower-end offering, and is expected to be a QWERTY slider in the vein of the Acer M900 (Pictured above), which is a Windows Mobile phone with a sliding QWERTY keyboard, so it would fit their M.O, so have they Allegro (pictured below) with same feature.
Unfortunately no verifiable information is given, leaving this story still firmly in the domain of rumour. Stay tuned for more, as we’ll keep you guys updated when more details about Acer W11 Windows Phone 8 emerge.
