The Japanese carrier KDDI and Okinawa Cellular have revealed new smartphone, the HTC J. The WiMAX equipped HTC J is custom version of the HTC One S (though the new version will sport a new body design, and support both WiMAX and Wi-Fi tethering), and it got a model number as HTC J ISW13HT.
Comes featuring a 4.3-inch (960 x 540) OLED display, and a dual-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz, the new handset is coupled by 16GB of internal storage. Flavored by Android 4.0/Ice Cream Sandwich and overlaid with HTC’s Sense 4.0, the smartphone also has an 8MP rear snapper with HTC ImageSense, as well as a 1.3MP front-facing shooter. All powered by an 1810 mAh battery. The device is available in red, white, or black.
While no pricing information is available just yet, the HTC J will go on sale this summer. Meanwhile, its retail package will include a pair of Beats headphones. Stay tuned for more.
