Long awaited Google Drive is finally launched by Google. The name – ‘Google Drive’ was popped in tech world few years ago when cloud storage was only in talks and people had mixed opinions about it. Some feared about their privacy while some liked the advantage of accessing your data from anywhere in the world without have to carrying it with you.
Amazon launched their version of cloud storage last year and following that trend many others step into this major change in the web world. Google Drive entered little late here but its Google! We can definitely expect better features and higher performance from Google. You can get started by clicking here. The page do not let you in straight away but you have to put in your email address and wait for the invite.
Once you get inside, Google Drive lets you have 5GB of free storage, which is good enough to get the taste of it. However you can apply for more storage by spending just $5.00 (20GB / year). It lets you sync/share files on your MAC/PC computer, mobile devices etc. Your Google Docs and Google Plus data will be stored on Google Drive now.
