Back in late January, we reported that Lenovo is planning to roll out Android 4.0 ICS update for ThinkPad this year. Well, the company kept its words and ThinkPad ICS update is rolling out now in some regions around the world starting today.
At the moment, the Lenovo ThinkPad Android 4.0 update is available for the tablet owner in United Kingdom and the Western Europe, while US certification slated for June 8th and the rest of the world waiting for a month after that.
The update is available via OTA (Over-The-Air) and users are required to proceed with this update while they are connected using the WiFi connection. Users should go to the Settings > About Tablet > Software Update and hit the Update button to proceed. I still suggest users to backup of their important applications before proceeding with the update.
The new ICS update brings lots of changes including GPS works fins along with faster speed and Chrome beta for Android is now available with the Android version being the Android 4.0.3 on your tablet.
For those of you in need of a quick refresher should known that update will be rolled out around the world to different countries by June 10 for sure. Meanwhile, stay tuned with us for more.
