Siri, definitely you would have heard of it whether you have an iPhone/ iPad or not. It is that little sweet voice that works as a personal assistant and handles questions both personal and professional. It also gives recommendations and hears to the requests. But is it really worth that and has it really worked out? lets find out.
In cupertino the people rolled out certain commercials showing that siri can compile personal preferences with personalised results. Also it was being told that i can do small tasks like searching out for the nearest hotel or restaurant and any other place. But the truth lies in the fact that when siri debuted on the iPhone 4S, reviewers and users came out with mixed and conflicting reviews. Those who felt that they were misled by the ad commercials of Siri and the actual product also lodged an action lawsuit against Apple.
When we see the other aspect of siri, apple released it in the Beta label which meant that the product is not perfect. This is the first time when apple has released something which has not been perfectly made and so when the lawsuit was filed against siri, apple said that siri is still in its beta version and that was completely revealed to the users.
Siri really works well when it comes to making appointments and setting up an alarm. When questions are asked to siri, reply for most of the questions is to search the internet. 51 percent of the people still believe that it is essential to have a service like siri on your smartphones.
Android users also are pondering and demanding the same kind of software. Other companies are hence trying to make another software similar to siri which will yield better results. S-Voice app in the Samsung galaxy new lineup is one example too.
So, we can say that siri although being a new innovation it has not yielded profits to Apple in its beta version.
