Samsung Galaxy S2 ICS Update India
While Galaxy S II Ice Cream Sandwich Update has been pushed out a few months ago, Indian owners have been left out until today. Today is the day, the reason to celebrate; Galaxy S2 ICS update in India is being rolled out via Samsung KIES desktop software. Galaxy S II owners, however, may also be able to upgrade to ICS OTA (over-the-air) via WiFi or mobile network.
The update is available for both the variants of the Galaxy S II – the I9100 and I9100G.
Whooping a 220.31MB in size, the update brings new TouchWiz UI alongside some goodies like Face Unlock, Re-sizeable widgets, performance improvements, new People App and a lot more alongside bug fixes.
Settings for Music Playlist, HomeScreen, APN and others will be reset during the update, so users are advised to take that into consideration as well. If you are curious enough for new ICS update, make sure your battery is charged upto 50% and your WiFi connection is fast enough, as it could possibly incur high data charges.
