The news is finally out. The much awaited iPhone 5 has a metal back plate and it is no rumor. The pictures that were leaked a few days back have been confirmed to be of the iPhone 5 and not just some of its ancestral prototypes. The very renowned Mark Gurman has claimed that the pictures of the aluminum clad back plate that had been published earlier are not just mere rumor.

They are indeed the iPhone back plate which is being tested by Apple. This news paves the way for one to delve into imagination of the 6^th generation of the iPhone device that would feature a royal black shell which is very much similar to the original iPhone model which was in the market for the first time 5 years ago. This seems to have been the main inspiration for the Apple designers to incorporate the roots of the design on this new generation iPhone.

As per Gurman, there is a match between the image structure that has been doing the rounds of rumor and the iPhone that are undergoing various testing regimes. While there is something totally new to look out for in the iPhone 5, like the headphone jack has been moved a bit, the dock connectors are a bit smaller.
