Kara Swisher and Walt Mossberg have had the privilege to interview the new Apple CEO Tim Cook over a wide variety of topics at the year’s biggest event – the All Things D conference. Let us take a look at what the transcripts have to state regarding the interview
There were innumerable questions that were being asked. Some of which were readily answered while a few fell to deaf ears. The questions ranged for everything right from the naming strategies of Apple devices to the days when Cook became a part of Apple.
The main question targeted by Swisher and Mossberg were centered around Cooks reaction towards the news that gets published online regarding Apple and himself. His response was rather amusing.
When asked about how does Cook react to the various rumor that make the rounds on the Apple devices, does it act as a driver or a distracter to Apple? Cook responded to that in a thorough professional and diplomatic way. He said that he is overjoyed to know that people make such a big deal about Apple, big enough to not just talk about it but also stir a rumor about it. If there is anything that it can do is just increase the curiosity level of the people and ultimately acts as a driving force.
In the most diplomatic way Cook let out that rumors are rumors in tee d, they suffice the purpose of marketing to them and that it would be ridiculous to post confidential information online, hence a rumor is the only way to create that buzz and keep the audience guessing.
Cook also claimed that he was ok with the negative remarks that he gets to hear as well, this keeps the customer feedback going which in the end only benefits Apple.
