Sony Tablet P Android 4.0.3 ICS Update

While, Sony’s Tablet S received Android 4.0 ICS update in late April its little sister Tablet P owners left wondering on when they might get the update. Well, today is the day the Sony Tablet P ICS Update is rolling out.

The clamshell slate, Tablet P, is not only getting Android 4.0.3 upgrade but it also gains a range of new features. The new features include direct SD card access, an improved photo viewing experience, and the half app/half widget “Small Apps.”

While the latest Android 4.0.3 update is available for both Tablet S and Tablet P, the Sony Tablet P Android 4.0 update is being limited to “selected markets,” according to a post on Sony Mobile Developer World blog.

No exact words on which specific markets have the update available, but Tablet P owners can head over to the Settings > About tablet > System updates, to get the tasty Ice Cream Sandwich if it’s available.
