Download CM9 for Galaxy S3

The CyanogenMod 9 for Galaxy S3 smartphone has been released. Thanks to the folks at XDA Developers you can now flash the latest nightly build of CM9 Android 4.0.4 for this highly anticipated handset.

This official nightly builds of CyanogenMod 9 for the GS3 brings a boost up to the battery life. Everything works fine from going back to the stock TouchWiz ROM to the performance, but there are some issues with camera flash plus FM radio is not working. And you might not get the Samsung’s hardware-accelerated browser, burst mode camera app; this is what leaves many of the Galaxy S3 owners unhappy.

The latest thread was posted by Team Hacksung developer’ XpLoDWilD on XDA’ site. And our fellow at Redmond Pie got a quick coverage on how to install the new ROM.

However, the CM9 for Galaxy S3 was flashed for the owners of international version (GT-i9300). Though, we suspect other and US version of the handset will get the CM9 soon when it reaches to the shelves.
