Has been one of my favorite media player for watching movies and videos on the desktops, the VLC Media Player is now making its way to the Android world. The VLC Media Player for Android has been available in beta for some time now.

Recently a tweet sent out from developers at VideoLan via Twitter dropped 4 simple worlds and that was enough to get me excited. The tweet states following…

Android, here we come!

No other details or words on release date were revealed, however, we will be on the lookout for more information and an official release of the application. Stay tuned with us till then.

Update: Still for those of you can’t/don’t want to wait for the official release of the VLC Media Player Android App, might head over to this XDA thread considering a beta version.
