Verizon and Motorola, today, have started rolling out Android 4.0 ICS update for DROID Razr and DROID Razr MAXX smartphones. The both Verizon Motorola’s handsets, however, were indicated to get the update on June 27th, but the Verizon seems to be quick on the matter.
The new upgrade will make both smartphones to be Global Ready, as well as will allow for voice and data in over 220 countries. Also bringing a number of improvements and additions, including a revamped home screen, a home screen folders, and face unlock. It also includes Direct Access Lock Screen, which allows you to easily open camera, text messages, and dialer from the lock screen.
The latest ICS update is expected to coming to both devices over the next few weeks, but that shouldn’t stop you from manually checking for an update on your phone. That said, you can check for update by going to settings >about phone >system updates.
