It looks like an engineering sample for the rumored “iPad mini” just has been published via GottaBeMobile, giving us a sneak peek at upcoming Apple’s device.
The case mold equipped Apple iPad mini image shown above unleashes nothing but confirms a physical model design that is thinner than the current New iPad model, and roughly two-thirds the size. Though judging by the images (below), the new iPad mini will feature two speaker grilles as opposed to one along the bottom edge of the device. The upcoming iPad is rumored to measure approximately 213 mm by 143 mm only.
The model appears to be a case maker’s mold that shows the basic shape of the device, so it is unknown whether it accurately reflects the device’s form factor.
Leaving us with images of case plastic mold (for use during accessory design), the site didn’t reveal other information about the Apple mini iPad.
Apple is rumored to unveil this iPad mini sometimes this fall. Although the screen-size, is still in rumors, could be 7.85-inch (1024×768) or bigger. The display is also rumored to possibly be an IZGO display from Sharp. As always we’ll keep you guys updated on the matter.
