Introduced earlier in June 2012, the Apple MacBook Pro and MacBook Air (both 11- and 13-inch models) — including the Retina-equipped model — are getting latest update from company today. The new MacBook Air and MacBook Pro Update 1.0 bring some issues fixing in tow.

The Pro & MacBook Air update 1.0 fixes issues that lead improves USB device compatibility and issues that unnecessarily use more CPU power.

While it’s not clear exactly how widespread these problems are, there are a number of posters in Apple’s support forums expressing issues with the USB 3.0 connection on their new laptops.

Update: The latest update is not supported by OS X Mountain Lion at the time being.
