Aircel, an Indian mobile operator, recently announced a price cut to iPhone 3GS in the country. While Airtel is still offering the handset for more than INR 20,900, the Aircel India is selling the Apple iPhone 3GS for INR 9,999 (approx 10K) only.

The unlocked iPhone 3GS black 8GB version is being offered at the time being by the operator. Aircel customers might have to pay an additional Rs 3,000 to get access to unlimited data usage. Though, 2G/3G access will depend on the circle. This offer also gets you 2GB of 3G data per month for a year or 1000 minutes and 2500 text messages per month for 6 months.

That said; the provided customers might have to sign up for minimum $55/year unlimited, post-paid data plan.

However, we do think it a pretty good deal, our fellow over at FirstPost says it not such a great buy. Well, they might be right at a typically point. As if you don’t mind getting a device with no front-facing shooter, you can go ahead.
