The handset presumably got the price cut to the half of its initial price on AT&T. AT&T — depressing schoolchildren everywhere — says the July price cut is part of a back-to-school promotion.

What do you get for this price: A smartphone with dual-core Qualcomm 1.5GHz Krait processor; Adreno 225 video card, 1GB of RAM, an 8MP rear snapper with 1080p video recording, and a 1.3MP front-facing shooter with 720p video recording.
